It's getting to the later side of the season for catching tarpon in South Carolina, but Captain Kai Williams with Awesome Adventure Charters (843-816-7475) reports that despite less than ideal conditions they have managed several this week around Hilton Head.  Spotting them visually has been tough, but prospecting with live, dead and artificial baits they have managed to find some big boys like the fish below.  His personal record is October 21 for the last tarpon of the year, and it remains to be seen if this is the year he breaks it.  With a long, hot, summer ... there's a chance!
