It's that incredible time of the year when Lake Murray striped bass school under the birds (particularly) at the top of the lake, and Edisto Island's Captain Ron Davis, Jr. (843-513-0143) always makes a few pilgrimages with his father (and fellow co-creator of The Chatterbait) to get after them. Today got a little slower after a good morning bite, likely because of high pressure - and because they ate so much yesterday - but Thursday was as good a day as they have had catching big fish schooling in the winter on Murray. They managed three over ten pounds plus more seen below, all on a new bladed jig their company Air-E-Is! Lures is developing paired with a 2.5 inch Zman Slim Swimz swimbait. Thank you for sharing, Ron!
