For the second straight day we have an incredible catch of the day, this time caught by Guide Casey Jones with Jocassee Charters (864-280-9056). Casey was trolling a Sutton spoon 35 feet down over trees on Lake Jocassee when he hooked this giant brown trout. It was 27 inches long and weighed 8 1/2 pounds, his personal best that he has reeled in himself (he has put clients on bigger trout). Casey's guiding partner and father Sam points out that you can tell it's a male because of the hook jaw and darker color, and in fact it's the biggest male Sam has seen. They always say February is a great time to catch a Jocassee monster, and today it was proven! Congratulations on the amazing catch and thanks for the share.
