Well over half of the bass on Santee have almost certainly spawned by this point, but that doesn't mean the spawn is over.   Captain David Murdaugh, Sr. (843-452-9566) reports that the bite is wide open and they are catching great numbers of pre-spawn, spawning, and post-spawn fish.  The biggest of the last few days was the 7 1/2 pound female pictured below.  Like most of the fish they are catching right now it came on soft plastics.  Thank you for sharing, Captain!
