The Carolina Angler Captain Chris Nichols (704-860-7951) reports that the Lake Wylie catfish bite is on fire, but what's really fascinating is watching the males and females pair up and begin to spawn. On rare occasions they mark (top picture) and then catch (below) both the male and female. Note the difference between the male on the right and female to the left. Of course, these fish were released to complete the spawn! Thanks, Captain!
