While many areas of the state aren't yet experiencing the success for big flounder they typically associate with June, Captain Addison Rupert with Lowcountry Outdoor Adventures (843-557-3476) reports that the Charleston area is having a good season so far. Strong numbers and some big fish are around. This nice fish was caught on a big mud minnow fished in one of the inlets to the north of Charleston at low tide, but live shrimp have also been working well. Hopefully it will continue to be a great season for flounder in Charleston and eventually all along the South Carolina coast.
