There are certainly times of the year when landing a bull red drum is commonplace in South Carolina, and the mid- to later fall comes to mind. But while as fishermen and electronics get better than window may be expanding, it's still always exciting to see one of these majestic (and vital for the population) fish caught. And they may be even more special right now, as Captain Addison Rupert with Lowcountry Outdoor Adventures (843-557-3476) reports that so many sharks have arrived in the Charleston area that catching drum is pretty tough. This fish was caught in relatively shallow water at the jetties on cut bait - thank you for sharing, Captain!
