It was one of those magical days on Lake Wylie today, and The Carolina Angler Captain Chris Nichols (704-860-7951) reports that the combination of dropping barometric pressure and Duke pulling water hard all day had the catfish bite on fire. Drifting big white perch baits in 10-25 feet of water on the main lake they caught twenty-five catfish, with twenty-two of them over 10 pounds. They had a 35-pound blue, a 28-pound blue, a 25-pound flathead, and almost all the rest were in the 10-20 pound range. Captain Chris says that days like this only come along a couple of times a year.

The ultimate proof that the fish were unusually hungry today came when they had one catfish take two baits and get hooked in the mouth on two separate lines! Thanks for sharing, Chris!
