Anybody who's been flounder fishing in South Carolina the last few years knows what a high percentage of fish are under 16 inches (and therefore cannot be kept). 17- and 18-inch fish seem rare, much less fish over 20 inches long. It's no different in Hilton Head, but check out this 5-pound fish caught with Captain Trent Malphrus with Palmetto Lagoon Charters (843-301-4634). It was caught on a live finger mullet inside a lagoon and released to grow bigger. Thanks for sharing, Captain Trent!
