While the South Carolina tarpon fishery should always be seasonal, unlike in the Sunshine State, in the summer and early fall in can get really good. And one of our best guides at catching them is Captain Addison Rupert with Lowcountry Outdoor Adventures (843-557-3476), always a contender in any area tarpon tournament. The season has gotten off to a fairly slow start for him, but now he's seeing good numbers in the Charleston Harbor and has jumped several this week. This fish came on a large live menhaden and they did get it alongside the boat, but the aerial shot is more exciting!
