After a break in "catches of the day", we figured it would be a good day for a double. Check out these two beautiful redfish caught with Captain Greg Holmes with Fish Skinny Charters (843-241-0594) - and note the difference in color. While Winyah Bay was blown out with freshwater a couple of weeks ago, normal salinity levels have now returned along with bait and fish. The top fish is what redfish caught there can look like now. But - a short ride up the rivers notice the difference in color of the second fish caught just hours later on the same charter. Redfish can thrive in highly brackish water, and (in the author's opinion) some of the prettiest fish in the state come from the brackish waters of the rivers around Georgetown. Thank you for sharing, Captain Greg!
