This week Captain Brad Taylor told us that the striped bass were moving into the creeks on Lake Murray, and that he was having success in the Ballentine area. His report was spot-on!
Consistent with that, check out this big fish caught by Craig Dawsey of Chapin last night in the back of a creek on the lower end. At 29 inches and around 13 or 14 pounds it was a personal best, and it was caught under a green light on a 3-foot crappie rod with 6-pound test and a crappie jig! For some reason there weren't many crappie around the light last night... It's hard to imagine why they didn't want to be there. :-)
