We got wind of it too late for this week's Charleston report, but yesterday Captain Rob Bennett with Lowcountry Inshore Charters (843-367-3777) reports that a tarpon was caught in the ocean to the south of Charleston. Whenever the menhaden schools arrive it's a sure thing the tarpon won't be far behind, and the pogies have now started to show up.
