There are a lot of fishing tournaments on tap for this weekend, including four CATTs, a Fishers of Men event, two big striper tournaments, a big catfish tournament, and three Sunday bass tournaments.  But the biggest show in town, offering the biggest payday, will be the first Carolinas Bass Challenge event of the season Saturday, February 17.  The Marshalls Division will have its first tournament Saturday out of Dreher Island on Lake Murray, and with 161 boats competing for $10,000 guaranteed for first place there is a lot on the line!

Last year Brad Rutherford and Kevin Malone won this event on February 4 with 26.91 pounds, and on Murray - particularly in February - there is the chance for even bigger bags at the top.  Last Saturday Joshua Rennebaum alone had 28.25 pounds in an ABA event.  We won't be shocked to see 30 pounds, even though it looks like a cold front is coming through tonight, and our actual prediction is 28.05.
