We are proud to offer our latest product, Eye Strike Weedless jigs! To develop our weedless jigs, we worked with Professional Redfish Tournament fishermen Team Shallowtails, a.k.a Mark and Michael Cowart. They provided suggestions on aspects of the jig that would be the perfect tournament jig. We believe we have it. They not only have the best characteristics of our existing jigs (largest 3D eye possible, Mustad Ultrapoint hook, great baitkeeper barbs), but they also shed grass in all directions. Not only do they work in grass, but are excellent when fishing shell rakes and even submerged trees. These jigs are built on the ideal hook for tournament fishing, a 3/0 short shank, wide gap Mustad Ultrapoint hook.
Prototypes of these jigs were used by Team Shallowtails in tournaments in Florida and Louisiana this spring, and Mark had this to say about their performance:
