Lake Keowee is at 97.7% of full pool. Water temperatures on the lower end of the lake are around 57 degrees, the mid-lake area is about 62, and the northern end is running roughly 60 degrees.

Bass are following baitfish (threadfin shad) and getting into their winter pattern, which N&C Marine/Skeeter Teammember Guide Charles Townson (864-324-2065) reports

Lake Keowee is at 99.0% of full pool. Water temperatures on the lower end of the lake are around 58, the northern end of the lake is at 60, and the mid-lake area is at 64 degrees.  Water clarity is normal (very clear).

Bass are still biting on Lake Keowee, but N&C Marine/Skeeter Team member Guide Charles Townson (864-324-2065) reports

Lake Greenwood water levels are up to 437.02 (full pool is 440.0) and surface water temperatures have dropped into the lower 50s. With the influx of dirty water the lake is becoming stained to muddy.

Although the dirty water coming into the lake is sure to shake things up, veteran tournament angler Stan Gunter of Saluda reports

Inshore surface water temperatures in Charleston are in the low to mid-50s, and water clarity has been good but is declining after the recent rains.

Clarks Hill water levels are at 327.07 (full pool is 330.00) and surface temperatures are around 53 or 54 degrees.  The lake is full of debris and heavily stained, and in the backs it is muddy.

Lake Murray water levels are up to 356.22 (full pool is 360.00), and surface water temperatures are in the low to mid-50s.  As of yesterday the lake was muddy from the river down to Buffalo Creek and it is only getting more stained. 

Striped bass fishing on Lake Murray has been tough, and Captain Brad Taylor (803-331-1354) reports

Inshore surface water temperatures around Hilton Head are about 57 degrees. The water has been extremely clear although recent wind and rains have dirtied it a bit.

It continues to be an excellent time to catch redfish in Hilton Head, and Captain Dan “Fishin’ Coach” Utley (843-368-2126) reports

Inshore surface water temperatures around Edisto Island average about 54-55 degrees, and while the water has been very clear with a ton of recent rain it is about to get brown – especially in the South Edisto. 

It has been pretty easy to get flats redfish to eat if you can find them, but Captain Ron Davis, Jr. (843-513-0143) reports

Lake Hartwell water levels are at 656.25 (full pool is 660.00), and surface temperatures are around 54 degrees. The creeks are getting very muddy with the last few days of rain.

Inshore surface water temperatures are approximately 57-58 degrees in Beaufort. The water is relatively clear, although the rains of the last couple of days have dirtied it up a bit.

There is not a ton of change in the redfish bite in the Beaufort area, but Bay Street Outfitters (843-524-5250) reports

Lake Wateree is at 96.9% of full pool, and the water has gotten cold and muddy from the top to the bottom of the lake. 

Conditions are not great for anything on Lake Wateree right now, but veteran tournament angler Will Hinson of Cassatt reports

Lake Wylie is at 99.2% of full pool, and water temperatures range from about 48-50 degrees. Clarity varies over the lake, but as of yesterday from Buster Boyd up to the South Fork was muddy, Buster Boyd down to the Allisons was dirty, and above the South Fork and below the Allisons was relatively clean.

Catching bass is still a little tough on Lake Wylie, but tournament angler Reid McGinn of Fort Mill reports

Lake Russell water levels are right around full pool (full pool is 475.00), and surface temperatures are about 53 degrees. Even with the recent rains so far the lake continues to have good water clarity.    

There is not a lot of change in the bass pattern, but Guide Jerry Kotal (706-988-0860) reports

Lake Jocassee is at 99.3% of full pool. Surface temperatures are around 56-58 degrees and the water was very clear before all the recent rains.

There is finally seasonal improvement in the trout fishing taking place on Lake Jocassee, and Guide Sam Jones (864-280-9056) reports

Santee Cooper water levels are at 74.50 in Lake Marion (full pool is 76.8) and 72.81 in Lake Moultrie (full pool is 75.5). Surface temperatures range from about 47 to 52, and while the lake is not yet muddy it could be getting there very soon with all the recent rains.

The bass bite has been pretty good on Santee Cooper, and Captain Brett Mitchell (803-379-7029) reports

Water temperatures are around 54 or 55 in Murrells Inlet and the water is gin clear. Baisch Boys Bait and Tackle (843-651-1915) has regular and jumbo mud minnows, live shrimp, live fiddler crabs, fresh shrimp, fresh squid, salt clam, and a full range of frozen baits. 

Inshore fishing is becoming more spotty along the south end of the Grand Strand, and Captain J Baisch (843-902-0356) reports

Lake Monticello water temperatures are in the mid-50s, and the water is typically clear. Lake levels normally fluctuate daily.

Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Clemson, anyone who has ever seen Lake Keowee knows that it is one of the most beautiful lakes in South Carolina.  The water is clear and blue, the shoreline is clean and carefully controlled with only floating docks, and the mountains make for a majestic backdrop.  Just being on Lake Keowee, whether you are fishing or not, is a treat.

Clarks Hill water levels are at 324.50 (full pool is 330.00) and morning surface temperatures are in the mid to low-50s. It’s still good conditions for bass fishing on Clarks Hill, and tournament angler Josh Rockefeller of Augusta reports that the fish continue to eat a crankbait.
