Morning surface water temperatures have dropped to about 65 degrees inshore around Charleston. Bait is still prolific in the creeks and you can easily net 50 shrimp on a throw.

Lake Jocassee is at 93.7% of full pool and the lake is clear. Morning surface water temperatures have dropped to about 72 degrees.

Lake Russell water levels are up to 474.16 (full pool is 475.00) and the water is still turning over. Morning surface water temperatures are still around 72 degrees.

Lake Wylie is at 96.5% of full pool and clarity is normal. Morning surface water temperatures are around 70 degrees.

Lake Hartwell water levels are down to 655.43 (full pool is 660.00) and the turnover assumes to be winding down and the lake is clearing. Morning surface water temperatures range from as low as 67 in the backs of some creeks to 74 on the main lake.

Lake Greenwood water levels are 437.72 (full pool is 440.0) and the lake is relatively clear. Morning surface water temperatures are about 70 degrees.

Lake Monticello surface water temperatures are in the lower 70s. Water levels fluctuate daily.

Lake Murray water levels are at 355.87 (full pool is 360.00) and clarity is below normal as the lake turns over. Morning surface water temperatures are about 70 degrees by the dam and around 68 on the upper end.

Clarks Hill water levels are down to 325.72 (full pool is 330.00) and the main lake is clearing while you can find some stained water in the creeks. Morning surface water temperatures range from about 68 to 72 degrees depending upon area.

After a tougher couple of weeks the bass fishing has picked up on Clarks Hill, and tournament angler Tyler Matthews of Evans, Georgia reports

Lake Keowee is at 96.3% of full pool and clarity is normal. Morning surface water temperatures are in the mid-70s over most of the lake. 

Water temperatures have remained steady this week, and N&C Marine team member Guide Charles Townson (864-324-2065) reports

Lake Murray water levels are down to 356.12 (full pool is 360.00) and clarity is just a little below normal. Morning surface water temperatures are about 71 degrees by the dam and around 69 on the upper end.

Morning surface water temperatures around Edisto Island are down to 68 degrees inshore and both river systems are clear.   There is still plenty of bait around with millions of shrimp in the creeks, finger mullet prolific, and the 6-8 inch mullet running down the beaches.

Morning surface water temperatures have plummeted from about 81 degrees inshore around Hilton Head to 72. With some big tides the water is pretty muddy. 

The storm didn’t really do much to the Hilton Head area, but Captain Kai Williams (843-816-7475) reports

Even as water temperatures have dropped on other lakes things haven’t changed that much on deep, clear Lake Jocassee, and Jocassee Charters (864-280-9056) reports

Lake Russell water levels are down to 473.43 (full pool is 475.00) and, even though they haven’t even gotten a sprinkle of rain, the water is still pretty brown from the turnover. Morning surface water temperatures have dropped to about 72 degrees.

Lake Keowee is at 96.4% of full pool and clarity is high on the main body of water. Morning surface water temperatures are in the mid- to upper 70s over most of the lake with the mid-lake still the warmest in the low 80s.   

As a slow cooling trend continues, N&C Marine team member Guide Charles Townson (864-324-2065) reports

Lake Hartwell water levels are down to 656.00 (full pool is 660.00) and clarity is good on the main lake but a bit lower in places up the creeks. Morning surface water temperatures have dropped to about 73 degrees in the last few days.

Lake Wateree is at 96.5% of full pool and over most of the lake the water is pretty clear. Water temperatures have dropped to 69-72 degrees between cold nights and the cold freshwater inflow.
