Lake Keowee is at 98.3% of full pool. Morning surface temperatures are in the low to mid 60s over most of the lake, with upper 60s around the power plant and upper 50s at the base of the Jocassee dam. Clarity is normal. 

There’s not a lot of change with the bass fishing on Lake Keowee this week, and N&C Marine/Skeeter Team member Guide Charles Townson (864-324-2065) reports

Lake Greenwood water levels are at 439.06 (full pool is 440.0) and water temperatures are around 68 degrees. The very upper end and lower end of the lake are clear, while the middle section is dingy but not muddy. 

While we are probably in the overall middle of the bass spawn on Lake Greenwood right now, from what tournament angler Stan Gunter of Saluda has seen this week

Morning surface water temperatures are about 68 degrees inshore around Hilton Head and the water is still nice and clean. 

While today was a little slow, overall the inshore fishing has been pretty good around Hilton Head.  Captain Kai Williams (843-816-7475) reports

Lake Keowee is at 98.0% of full pool. Morning surface water temperatures are in the mid-60s over most of the lake with the coolest water around 60 degrees at the base of the Jocassee dam. Clarity is normal.

Inshore water temperatures have risen into the mid to upper 60s. 

It’s been a funny week for inshore redfish, and just a few days ago Redfin Charters (843-277-5255) reports

Inshore surface water temperatures around Little River are in the mid to upper 60s and pushing 70, and the water is still pretty clear for this time of year.   

There’s a lot of good action on the north end of the South Carolina Grand Strand, and Captain Patrick “Smiley” Kelly (843-361-7445) reports

Lake Jocassee is at 98.2% of full pool and surface water temperatures are about 60 degrees on the main lake. The big water is clear while the creeks are just a little dingy – but nothing like a week or two ago. 

The trout bite is picking up on Lake Jocassee, and even though they aren’t getting large numbers of keepers Guide Sam Jones (864-280-9056) reports

Lake Monticello surface water temperatures are in the upper 60s. Water levels fluctuate daily.   

While there are a few bass still on beds on Lake Monticello, overall the spawn is winding down and tournament angler Andy Wicker of Pomaria reports

Lake Wylie is at 96.6% of full pool and water temperatures are in the mid to upper 60s. The lake has cleared up substantially this week.   

After some really good bags last weekend and earlier this week the bass fishing seems to have dropped off again on Lake Wylie, and tournament angler Reid McGinn of Fort Mill reports

Lake Russell water levels are up to above full at 475.26 (full pool is 475.00). Surface water temperatures are in the upper 60s. 

The bass fishing remains strong on Lake Russell, and Guide Jerry Kotal (706-988-0860) reports

Lake Wateree is at 96.6% of full pool and there is color throughout the whole lake but it is not muddy. Water temperatures were about 65 degrees this morning. 

After a spring where water levels were extremely high it’s ironic that low water levels are throwing a bit of a wrench into the Wateree bass fishing, but that is exactly what tournament angler Dearal Rodgers of Camden reports

Santee Cooper water levels are at 75.72 in Lake Marion (full pool is 76.8) and bouncing around 74.9 in Lake Moultrie (full pool is 75.5). The upper lake is clearing but still stained while there is a mud line in the lower lake.  Water temperatures are generally in the upper 60s. 

There is a mix of everything going on with the bass on Santee, and Captain Brett Mitchell (803-379-7029) reports

Lake Murray water levels are up to 358.04 (full pool is 360.00). The lake is fairly clear but starting to get a green tint due to algae growth. Water temperatures have dropped but are in the mid to upper 60s. 

It’s many people’s favorite time of the year to fish on Lake Murray, and Captain Brad Taylor (803-331-1354) reports

Lake Hartwell water levels are still well over full pool at 661.16 (full pool is 660.00). Water temperatures are around 66 at daylight and the lake is pretty clear.

Clarks Hill water levels are still well above full at 330.82 (full pool is 330.00) and morning surface water temperatures are in the upper 60s. The lake is very clear.

Lake Keowee is at 97.6% of full pool. Morning surface water temperatures have continued to rise this week with low 60s now present over most of the lake.   Around the power plan, the water is a few degrees warmer, and at the base of the Jocassee dam it is a few degrees lower.

Lake Murray water levels have dropped several inches in the last 24 hours to 357.99 (full pool is 360.00). The lower lake is clear while the mid-lake has a healthy stain. Water temperatures have dropped abruptly in the last 24 hours and they were 57 at Dreher Island this morning.  At the dam they have held about 58 all day.

Santee Cooper water levels are up to 76.30 in Lake Marion (full pool is 76.8) and 74.66 in Lake Moultrie (full pool is 75.5). The upper part of Lake Marion is blown out with mud and it is coming to the rest of the system. Surface water temperatures were down to about 61 this morning.

The bass are at all different stages of the spawn on Lake Greenwood, and veteran tournament angler Stan Gunter of Saluda reports

Lake Wateree is at 99.9% of full pool but clarity on the lower end still looks surprisingly normal for water levels this high. Morning surface water temperatures were about 61 today. 

Just yesterday water levels were so high that water was spilling over the Wateree dam, but today water levels have dropped just below full.  However, despite quickly dropping water levels and temperatures, today tournament bass angler Dearal Rodgers of Camden found

Lake Wylie is at 98.1% of full pool and water temperatures were around 63-64 before the cold snap. The whole lake is muddy from one end to the other. 

Once again conditions have dealt a harsh below to the bass fishing on Lake Wylie, and tournament angler Reid McGinn of Fort Mill reports

Clarks Hill water levels are well above full at 331.06 (full pool is 330.00) and morning surface water temperatures are in the 60-degree range on the main lake. The lake was fairly clear before the last round of rain this week, but it is again stained and there is still lots of yellow pollen on the water.

Lake Russell water levels are down to 473.91 (full pool is 475.00). Morning surface water temperatures were about 63 or 64 degrees in the creeks before the cold snap but have dropped. The main lake is pretty clear but the creeks have a good stain to them.
