Lake Keowee is at 97.4% of full pool and water clarity is extremely high. Morning surface water temperatures range from the upper 60s to mid-70s.  

This week the regular author had a conflict that he knew was going to keep him from being able to spend much time on the fishing reports, and so we enlisted the help of esteemed South Carolina outdoor writer Terry Madewell with particularly the freshwater reports.

Morning surface water temperatures on Lake Monticello are 65 degrees, and the lake is clear.  Water levels typically fluctuate frequently.

Lake Russell water levels are at 474.25 (full pool is 475.00), and most of the lake is clear, though the very backs of creeks show some staining.  Morning surface water temperatures are 64 degrees.

Lake Greenwood water levels are up to 438.03 (full pool is 440.0).  Morning surface water temperatures are 65 degrees.

Lake Wylie is at 96.5% of full pool, and the lake is clear all over.  Morning surface water temperatures are 63 degrees.

Lake Wateree is at 97.0% of full pool, and the lower end of the lake is clear, but from Beaver Creek and up the lake, the water is dingy.  Morning surface water temperature is 65 degrees.

Santee Cooper water levels are at 75.51 in Lake Marion (full pool is 76.8) and 75.39 in Lake Moultrie (full pool is 75.5), and water clarity is high.  Morning surface water temperatures are around 65 degrees.

Lake Hartwell water levels are at 653.65 (full pool is 660.00), and most of the lake is clear with a slight stain in certain creeks.  Morning surface water temperatures are about 64 degrees, but they’re rising higher on sunny afternoons.

Clarks Hill water levels are at 323.53 (full pool is 330.00), and the lower portion of the lake is clear. Beginning a few miles upstream from the dam, some dingy water is found, but almost nowhere is muddy.  Morning surface water temperatures are about 66 degrees.

Lake Murray water levels are at 356.25 (full pool is 360.00), and without much rain, clarity is clear in most areas.  Morning surface water temperatures are rising, but are currently 65 degrees.

Lake Keowee is at 97.4% of full pool and water clarity remains very high. Morning surface water temperatures have risen quickly into the upper 60s and low 70s.

Lake Jocassee is at 93.0% of full pool and water clarity is normal. Morning surface water temperatures are in the low 60s.

Lake Keowee is at 98.5% of full pool and water clarity remains high although there is a lot of pollen in the water. Morning surface water temperatures are in the mid-60s in most areas.
